Fablecraft is a small, invite-only beta. This page explains what it keeps about you, why, and who else handles it. The short version: it keeps what it needs to write and remember your stories, and nothing is sold or used for advertising.
What Fablecraft keeps
- Your account: the name, email address and profile picture Google shares when you sign in, your plan, and your theme setting.
- Your stories: the stories you start, the chapters written for you, the choices, notes and moves you type, and the story's memory (characters, places, what happened).
- Feedback: your thumbs up or down and anything you send through the feedback form, together with the settings that produced what you rated.
- Usage records: which model wrote each part, how many tokens it used and what it cost, so daily limits and costs can be managed.
- Invite requests: the email and message you leave if you ask to join.
Who else handles it
- OpenAI writes the stories. To do that it receives the world, the story so far and what you type for that story. It does not receive your email address or name.
- Google handles sign-in. Fablecraft never sees your Google password.
- The server and database run on infrastructure operated by Fablecraft's maintainer.
Cookies and storage
One cookie keeps you signed in. Your browser also remembers your theme so pages don't flash. There are no tracking or advertising cookies.
Deleting things
You can delete a story from your library at any time; you can undo it for a short while, and it is then removed for good within 30 days. You can delete your account from Settings: you are signed out everywhere and your account, stories and feedback are removed within 30 days. Usage records kept for cost accounting lose their link to you.
Your choices
You can ask what Fablecraft holds about you, or ask for it to be corrected or deleted, through the feedback form in the app.
